i would like to put tires off of jd770 4wd. but the front wheels are 6 lug on the 770. the 855 is 5 lug. any help would be apprecitated... sonny jones ....

There are after-market wheel manufacturers. As I recall it's the rear wheels that are fairly standard and tend to be available from after-market suppliers and the fronts tend to be dealer only items. Could be the other way I guess. I can't recall names of any wheel manufactures but maybe somebody else knows of a few.
I would check to ensure that 770's and 855's have the same front to rear drive train ratios, or a 770 tire-set might not work very well on an 855 in 4wd.

First, as Tom has said, you should make sure they are the right size tires for your tractor. Even very similar models can use different sizes of tires. Putting mismatched or wrong size tires on a four wheel drive can ruin the drive train.
Do you know what the original factory specs were for Ag tires on your tractor?
If the tires you are looking at are the same sizes there are a couple of places to check where you might be able to find wheels with the right bolt pattern and offset. ....
